About us
In 2016 CEO Afonso Faria founded AFF Windservices. As the market changed and the need demanded to move into becoming independent supplier, allowing thus to supply services as needed and where needed.
Maintaining the activities in the indusrty, CEO Afonso Faria continued to supply the services of installaiton supervisor. Where his knowledge and experience continued to grow.
2018 – moving into site management, AFF Windservices path to growth was set in motion.
During the period of 2018 till 2021, AFF Windservices kept working with the same structure.
In 2019 a team has been created to support installation services within UK and other European installation projects. Even though this team was succesful and actively participating in the growth, CEO decided that it would not be maintained in operation during the covid-19 period.
Coming out off 2020, into 2021, steps have been taken to become more independente, securing contracts directly to the main supplier, moving away for being a 3rd party services supplier.
2021 the site management department started to take shape and grow. From 2 site manager within renewable wind industry, into 8 site managers in current year of 2024.
During this growth, AFF windservices has been able to secure what the company stands for; quality over quantity.
A service that is supplied towards the quality, the commitement and the ownership that is needed by those that hold a leading position.
Currently still growing and expanding into other services, such as; main component Exchange, retorfit works, supervisor, scheduled maintenance and expertise consultation.

Afonso Faria
Mechanical engineering background. Active in the industry since 2006. Traveling since the same time. Meeting new places and faces, understanding and learning from different cultures. Those are the building stones that have ultimately led to the foundation of AFF Wind. Passionate in my work, always ready to step up and help others. There are no problems, only solutions and new targets

Ricardo Oliveira
Ricardo Oliveira is an individual with a passion for outdoor activities such as spearfishing, bodyboarding, and airsoft/paintball. With a strong electrical background and over a decade of experience in the wind renewable industry, Ricardo Oliveira is known for his dedication, focus, and safety consciousness. Excels in team leadership, supervision, and management, making him a valuable asset in any work environment.

Carlos Minas
Proactive, dedicated, and effective at following strict company policies and procedures. I excel when working in a fast-paced high-pressure environment with the ability to consistently meet deadlines with the highest quality whether working solo or as part of a team. Positive and proactive attitude towards health and safety and take both my personal safety and the safety of others extremely seriously. Performance driven dynamic individual who is always willing to learn and adapt to new roles and update my skills, ensuring the best for myself and my employer. Able to work autonomously and confidently, with an in-depth range of industry experience and knowledge and a proven track record of delivering high profile assignments on time.

Gilberto Maia
Background in construction, oil & gas. Renewable wind career early starts, following the footsteps of my father. Present day, counting over 15 years’ experience. Installation, transportation, and logistics. Knowledge and experience, driven to deliver more at AFF windservices. Dedication in solving problems, managing resources, project costs and efficiency.
Mantas Svirplys
A dedicated and motivated expert in the wind industry. Having gone through all stages and process of what it takes to construct and commission a windfarm, the experience and knowledge package that I carry excels in every means and ways. Health and safety orientated, focused on finalizing projects meeting all requirements and demands. But above all bringing everyone safe. The knowledge and experience gained over the last 15 years is brought forward when managing projects. Capable of working under stress, learning every day and adapting when needed. Miguel Ferreira
With electrical Engineering as background, the wind industry is a playground of both fun and challenge. Active in Wind industry since 2005 with a Service oriented background and travelled the world to both set up new Service Teams and coordinate special tasks. Construction Site Management is the logical step after gaining experience in Service and especially throughout the many countries where I have passed in the past.

David Gouveia
Passionate about what I do, I started this journey 12 years ago without any experience. Enthusiastic and embracing sometimes difficult challenges, achieving a set of high-performance skills, I managed to get to where I am today. I have always had a clear vision of my aspirations and true confidence in my ability to achieve any goals. Motivated by my leadership skills, experience, knowledge, competence, flexibility in executing tasks, whether very small or very large and always focused on costs and safety.

Miguel Felix da Costa
My name is Miguel and I work with project management for about 15 years, in a variety of industries. I started my career in the military, where I led teams in the development and implementation of complex projects. I then moved to the oil and gas industry, where I worked on a variety of projects, around the globe. In 2023, I joined the renewable energy industry, where I’m currently working as a Site Manager of new buildings.
